State Representative Barry Crago and State Senator Dave Kinskey, in their weekly updates from the legislative session, discussed the Crossover Voting law currently moving through the legislature, giving their opinion on the proposed law that is headed to Governor Mark Gordon’s desk for his signature.
Crago questioned how necessary the legislation really is.
He did say that however, it is an issue that people in the state want the legislature to address.
He said he isn’t sure what will happen once it hits the governor’s desk.
Kinskey explained what the proposed law is trying to change.
Kinskey said he is supportive of the legislation, believing that when candidates file for elections, the voters, in whatever party they are affiliated with at that time, should be locked into that ballot in the primary election, to prevent any possible issues in Wyoming’s elections.
House Bill 103 passed the vote of the Senate Friday and will now head to the governor’s desk for consideration.
