State Senator Dave Kinskey (R-Sheridan, Johnson Counties), in his weekly talk with Sheridan Media from the legislative session, discussed the legislature’s failure to pass any substantial property tax reform legislation during this year’s session.
Kinskey was asked why he thought so many property tax reform bills were not approved by the
legislature.
He said its not easy to get things done in the American political system by design, but that property tax relief for everyone should have been an easy fix.
Kinskey said he is frustrated that not much got done on the issue.
Although there won’t be much relief across the board for Wyoming’s citizens this year, Kinskey said the plan is for the Revenue Committee to work over the interim and bring back a bill that can get as many lawmakers as possible behind it for the next session in 2024.
