An Open House is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the Johnson County Healthcare Center to show off the first of three phases of their new capital construction project to the public.
The first phase includes 10 new inpatient rooms with private bathrooms, a new nursing station that features easier access to patients and supplies, and two negative-pressure rooms to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases to protect both the public and staff.
During the Hospital Board’s recent meeting, CEO Luke Senden was asked if he knew the extent of the public’s interest in Thursday’s Open House.
The community is invited to the Open House which will be offered Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m.
There will be refreshments and viewing of the new addition to the facility, and Senden will be available to answer any questions about the current phase or future phases of the construction project.
Those interested should enter through the Main Entrance next the the Emergency Room.
