The City Council, at their most recent meeting, approved a resolution to apply for a level two funding request through the Wyoming Water Development Commission to perform the study.  City Utilities Director Dan Roberts said a 2019 level one study funded by the WWDC recommended that Lake DeSmet be Sheridan’s highest and best consideration for long term water supply needs of the community. Roberts said the funding request will be considered by the WWDC in May of this year.

Roberts said the WWDC’s program provides for 100 percent of the costs of awarded level two feasibility study grants. The resolution to apply for the funding was approved unanimously by the City Council.
