U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY) along with a bipartisan coalition of six U.S senators led by Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) recently reintroduced the “Let Experienced Pilots Fly Act” in an effort to combat the pilot shortage that has caused numerous flight delays and cancellations. Senator Lummis said people in Wyoming rely on small rural airports.

The “Let Experienced Pilots Fly Act” will raise the mandatory commercial pilot retirement age from 65 to 67, while keeping all training, safety and certifications in place to ensure that pilot quality is unaffected. Full text of the legislation can be found here.
