With the construction underway on the Downtown Sheridan Main Street Resurfacing & Utility Upgrade project sections of Sheridan’s Main Street will be cut off from traffic and parking.
WYDOT and City leadership, including the Downtown Sheridan Association and Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce have organized and executed meetings to hear concerns from business owners and the general public regarding techniques to keep Sheridan’s Main Street vibrant and active.
One subject of discussion is parking. While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, City Councilman Steven Brantz told listeners that ideas to handle any parking issues downtown have been proposed.

Projected to last two years, construction season on the street will span from April to October. WYDOT and the City have stated that at the conclusion of the construction season of October 2023, a hard surface will be in place.
The City recommends planning ahead for the morning and evening commutes. Residents should plan for detours and there will be pedestrian access to store fronts at all times during the project.
