U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), ranking member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources (ENR), delivered opening remarks at a recent full committee hearing to examine President Joe Biden’s budget request for the U.S. Department of Energy for Fiscal Year 2024. Senator Barrasso said it has been two years since Joe Biden took office and the hearing provided a good opportunity to assess the results of his energy policies.

Barrasso, while addressing U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm during the hearing, said that if the country continues to follow President Biden’s agenda, Americans will become even more dependent on China and Russia, as these countries control the complete supplies, in so many ways, of the minerals used in the renewable and battery technologies that the president favors.
