No injuries were reported and there was no danger to the area after part of a train derailed within the Sheridan train yard.
Sheridan Fire-Rescue Chief Gary Harnish says at around 10:30am this past Sunday (April 30th), about eight cars from a BNSF train derailed within the train yards, spilling their cargo of fertilizer.
BNSF crews arrived on scene to start clean-up and put the cars back on the track later that afternoon.
The cause of the derailment is under investigation.
