JCSD1 Facilities Director John Zink, during his report to the school board, was asked about the raw water irrigation systems at the schools, and he said there were some major breaks, and discussions concerning the ditch that serves the schools.

Zink also said in his written report that construction is set to start on the air handling unit at Meadowlark Elementary on June 5.

The elevator at Buffalo High School will require an equipment room be constructed to house the new equipment, and the district will need to have the plans approved by the State Fire Marshal Inspector.

The district was approved by the State Facilities Commission for the siding repair project on the Kaycee School building in the amount of roughly $119,000 to be funded by the major maintenance fund.

The district also received a quote from Audio Enhancement to replace the bells, intercoms and classroom systems at Clear Creek Middle School in the amount of just over $211,000. This project will also be funded through the major maintenance fund.

He has also requested quotes for access control at CCMS to use the last of our capital security funding from the state.
