The Buffalo City Council voted to continue the decision on awarding the Contract for services for the St. Francis Animal Shelter.
At their regular meeting Wednesday, Councilwoman Myra Camino discussed the fact that the council did not receive a copy of the draft contract until that day, and asked for time to review the contract before making a decision.
The council agreed with her request and voted to continue the decision until a later date.
In previous years the city’s contract with the shelter has specified that the city will pay the shelter $1,500 per month for services relating to animal control, housing, and other services for dogs and cats that are picked up by the Buffalo Police Department or the Animal Control Officer.
