Sheridan County’s Commissioners have voted to adopt new rules and regulations concerning the division of land, specifically addressing a requirement for perimeter fencing on subdivisions.
During their recent meeting, County Planner Mark Reid explained the Resolution further.
Reid said there would be certain exemptions from the requirement based on parcel size, approval of adjacent landowners, or for conservation or agricultural lots.
Commissioner Nick Siddle said he thought the requirement was unnecessary but would vote for it to keep the county on the right side of state statute.
Siddle added, “I’ll vote in favor of it just because we need to do it.”
