Jo Co Commission Makes Appointments, Lifts Hiring Freeze

The Johnson County Commission, at their meeting Monday, approved the re-appointments of two Library Board members and lifted the hiring freeze to replace an employee at Kaycee’s Harold Jarrard Park.

The commission approved the re-appointments to three year terms on the Library Board of Jennifer Bakkan and Terry Urruty.

County Facilities Director David Eads came before the commissioners to request a lifting of the hiring freeze for him to replace an employee that had been working at Harold Jarrard Park in Kaycee.

According to discussions the position has been posted on the county website with the hope that an employee can be in place within a few weeks.
