Kinskey on Budget Talks, Importance of Property Tax Relief

State Senator Dave Kinskey (R-Senate District 22) is in Cheyenne for this year’s legislative budget session and has been updating Sheridan Media during the session.

In his most recent interview, he discussed the Senate’s first Joint Conference Committee, which he was a part of, trying to reach an agreement with their House counterparts.

The JCC was scheduled to present their final budget to both chambers of the legislature Thursday morning for review and debate.

Kinskey said he hoped property tax relief would still be part of the focus.

Kinskey reiterated that the goal should be to not spend so much that there’s no room for real, significant, immediate property tax relief.
