The Sheridan City Council met for their first regular business meeting of May Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
All-Inclusive Playground at Black Tooth Park Approved by City Council
The City Council, by a vote of 6 to 1, approved the purchase and installation of an all-inclusive playground from Star Playgrounds in the amount of $1,036,384. City Engineer Thomas Morneau said the all-inclusive playground area is 18,608 square feet and is part of phase four of the Black Tooth Park Project.

The lone no vote on the project came from Councilman Andrew Patceg.

A motion by Councilman Patceg to amend the amount that could be spent on the project from $1,036,384 to $500,000 failed by a vote of 2 to 5. The City Council also approved a one-year contract with the local firefighters union and third and final reading of an ordinance changing the start time for the regular business meetings from 7 pm to 5:30 pm.
