Another chance to get a hunting license but location may be difficult

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) released tentative results for the 2024 leftover draw on July 9. The leftover draw offers a second chance to obtain a license for elk, deer, and antelope after the initial drawing. Licenses remaining after the leftover draw will become available over the counter on a first come, first serve basis on July 17. General licenses will also go on sale on this day.

A list of leftover licenses will be available on the Wyoming Game and Fish website.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Wyoming Game and Fish Public Information Specialist Christina Schmidt advised caution to those seeking one of these licenses, as many may be on private property.
