Buffalo’s City Council approved a “Limited Emergency Fuel Dispensing and Use Agreement” for emergency services vehicles to use fuel from the Joint Powers Board’s fueling facility, if needed, during upcoming major events happening in the region in August, that may trigger a shortage of available fuel in Buffalo and other areas in Northeast Wyoming.
As explained by Mayor Shane Schrader, during the Camporee, Sturgis Bike Rally and Johnson County Fair during the first part of August, there could possibly be fuel shortages at local fuel stations in the area.
City Attorney Dennis Kirven gave details on the agreement.
The agreement, which will only be in place during the month of August, was approved by the council.
