Sheridan County Commissioner Christi Haswell, during the commission’s regular meeting Tuesday morning, addressed her constituents concerning her arrest earlier this year for driving while under the influence (DWUI) and hit and run.
She read a statement into the record.
Some comments from the public were made regarding her statement, and we will have that in a future story.
According to the Sheridan Police Department report for April 10, officers responded to a DUI REDDI report at approximately 9:29 p.m., leading to the arrest of Haswell for driving while under the influence and hit and run.
According to a report from Cowboy State Daily, Haswell has pleaded guilty to drunk driving. She will serve eight days in jail as part of a plea agreement, and must pay the maximum fine allowed as well as restitution, and serve a year of unsupervised probation.
