Citizen Responds to Commissioner Haswell DUI Statement

During the Sheridan County Commission’s meeting Tuesday morning, Commissioner Christi Haswell read a prepared statement concerning her arrest earlier this year for driving while under the influence and hit and run.

John Wilcox spoke to Haswell about the incident.

Haswell responded, saying her last drink was in April of this year.

Wilcox said he “wished her all the luck in the world.”

According to police report from April of this year, officers responded to a DUI REDDI report, which led to the arrest of Haswell for driving while under the influence and hit and run.

Cowboy State Daily reported this week that Haswell pleaded guilty to drunk driving and will serve eight days in jail, pay the maximum fine allowed as well as restitution, and serve a year of unsupervised probation.
