Johnson County Healthcare Center Chief-of-Staff Dr. Jennifer Rice, in her report to the hospital board, said the recent Ladies’ Night Breast Health events in Buffalo and Kaycee were well-attended and successful.

Dr. Rice said the grant money has been used to cover women whose insurance covers a screening mammogram, but won’t cover follow-up imaging if something abnormal is seen on their original mammogram.

Rice said they have been able to do follow-up screens for these women that are in that gap of coverage that wouldn’t have been able to get them otherwise.
