Sheridan Commission Accepts Homeland Security Grant Award

Sheridan County’s Commissioners have approved and accepted a grant award from the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security.

County Administrative Director Cameron Duff, speaking on behalf of County Emergency Management Coordinator Jesse Ludikhuize, gave details on the grant and the reason for it.

Commissioner Lonnie Wright said that he had spoken to Ludikhuize, who said the software would have been extremely helpful for the county during this year’s fire season.

Commissioner Holly Jennings voiced concerns over possible continued future costs to the county.

The commission voted to accept the grant funding with Jennings voting against.
