FIrefighters Put Out Fire At Clearmont Rec Center

At 1642 hours on Friday, December 20th, Clearmont Fire District was paged out for a reported structure fire at the Recreational Center.

Clearmont Fire personnel were quick to respond and deployed a 1 1/2 hand line and knocked the fire down, and the gas was temporarily shut off to the building.

The fire was contained to a furnace / utility room.

Sheridan Fire arrived and deployed a ventilation fan to clear smoke from the building.

They also used their thermal imaging to ensure there was no other hot spots.

The Recreation Center will remain closed until the State Fire Marshall arrives and completes their investigation.

Clearmont units cleared the call at approximately 1900 hours.
