Wyoming TA Ranch is excited to announce 2025 Fire & Ice Festival in Buffalo, Wyoming, celebrating Nordic heritage with a day of traditional games, entertainment, and culinary delights.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at TA Ranch, located at 28623 Old Highway 87, Buffalo, WY 82834.

The Fire & Ice Festival offers a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in Nordic culture through a variety of activities and performances. Attendees can participate in traditional games such as rock lifting, log press, farmers carry, caber toss, and tug-of-war.

Additional attractions include an archery competition hosted by Grouse Mountain Archery and a polar plunge for the adventurous. Festivals Entertainment throughout the day features ice carving competitions, fire performances, aerialists, Nordic storytelling, and music by the Pillage People.

The festival will culminate with the burning of a Viking ship funeral pyre, symbolizing the cleansing of the old year and the welcoming of the new. Festivals Culinary offerings include food trucks and Nordic-style dishes, with beverages from Big Lost Meadery.

Festivals Tickets are priced at $20 per person, $10 for kid granting access to all activities and performances. They can be purchased in advance or at the event. Please note that food and drink are not included in the price of admission.

Transportation services will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with pick-up locations at the Buffalo senior center, public parking across from Bonds Brewing/Jim Gatchell. Attendees are encouraged to donate canned and stored foods to the local Food Pantry in exchange for this service.
