CHAPS Equine Assisted Services, a group that provides equine services to Sheridan and Johnson Counties, is reporting that the non-profit has recently received several contributions.
According to CHAPS, the organization received $15,000 from the Seidler Foundation (Carol & Sam Mavrakis) for scholarships as well as $1,500 from the William and Lorene Welch Foundation for its mental health program. The Herbert & Dorothy Zullig Foundation provided $1,750 towards programming to be administered at the Hub on Smith.
CHAPS was also the recipient of $10,000 the Roberts Family Foundation via the Sheridan Community Foundation. In addition, the Shaw & Better Walker Foundation gifted CHAPS $5000 and the Wheeler Family Foundation gifted $2,500 toward general operations.
“We are so blessed to live in a community with such a giving heart,” CHAPS Executive Director Kristen Marcus said. “It takes a team effort to ensure we can meet our expenses and provide these needed services. We hope our donors know how much their generosity is appreciated. “
