Buffalo Council OKs Ice Rink Lease Agreement

Buffalo’s City Council considered a lease agreement between the city and the Buffalo Community Ice Rink for use of the rink located in Washington Park near the train.

Edison Elder, representing the Buffalo Community Rink, spoke to the Buffalo City Council during their last meeting, saying the organization believes the agreement drafted by city attorney Dennis Kirven is acceptable, and would sign it once they have acquired insurance.

The lease agreement will take effect on February 15, contingent upon the organization getting liability insurance.

The lease is in place for two years from the effective date.
