Buffalo Police Chief Sean Bissett, in his report to the city council at their last meeting, said local law enforcement helped to bring an end to a kidnapping incident out of Campbell County.
Bissett said during the incident there was no harm to the suspect, law enforcement or the victim, and it turned out about as well as could be hoped considering the circumstances.
He said the suspect was arrested and taken to the criminal justice center in Buffalo where he was charged and then transferred to Gillette to face charges there.
Biissett also gave the numbers for the month of January, which showed 2,297 calls into the dispatch center, and 566 incidents that officers responded to that resulted in three arrests including the one of the kidnapping suspect from Campbell County.
