The city council has voted to purchase a lungmotor for the fire department.
This is a device used to restore respiration in cases of asphyxia, apparent drowning and many other cases of apparent death. The device will be kept on the fire truck at the fire station where it will always be available in case of emergency.
Mrs. A.P. Rhode went to Ranchester yesterday to visit her son, Guy.
Mr. and Mrs. C.O. Long of Ranchester returned to their home today. They have been the guests of Mrs. John Roberts of this city.
Mrs. W.O. Mathews has been quite ill with lagrippe this past week.
