Public Health Grant Accepted by Sheridan County Commission

A Public Health Workforce Development grant was accepted and approved by the Sheridan County Commission at their last regular meeting.

Debra Haar, County Nurse Manager for Sheridan County Public Health, gave more details on the grant and the use of the funds.

According to discussion at the meeting, the grant funding will be used for training and certifications for staff within Public Health, as well as purchasing laptops that can be used to access their programs while in any other community in the county.

Haar said the grant funds will free up other county money that can be used elsewhere.
