Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue is one of the nonprofit agencies that receives GPET funds from the City of Sheridan. Second Chance Executive Director Rachel Kristiansen recently provided an update on the nonprofit to the Sheridan City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger. In a previous story, Kristiansen said they had a total of 190 strays come in last year, which was a 33 percent increase from 2023. During her update, Kristiansen also discussed adoptions for 2024.
Kristiansen also talked about Second Chance’s community service programs.
Kristiansen said that in 2024, they provided a total of 481 vaccines to the community, 370 of which were for cats, and 111 were for dogs. Click here to learn more about Second Chance Sheridan Cat Rescue.
