The Sheridan County YMCA Swim Lessons teach skills that children will take with them and use throughout life.

Sheridan County YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday said the confidence gained with independence in the water is priceless. With a new Aquatics Director, the Y offers lessons from ages 6 months – 14 years, but swim lessons are not just for kids. Instructors also offer private adult lessons.

The Sheridan County YMCA Aquatics Center will also be stepping up to fill in the need left by the City of Sheridan Kendrick Pool’s remodel this summer.

Swim lessons offer numerous benefits, including enhanced physical fitness, improved mental well-being, and crucial water safety skills. These lessons can help individuals of all ages build confidence, develop motor skills, and even improve cognitive function. Furthermore, swim lessons contribute to a healthier lifestyle and can be a fun way to socialize and bond with others.
