Sheridan College announced a new summer event. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Music on the Mall is a free, family-friendly event that will kick-off Sheridan WYO Rodeo week festivities on Sunday, July 6 from 2 pm to 8 pm, under the big tent in the Whitney Mall on the Sheridan College campus. According to information from Sheridan College, the Music on the Mall will begin with the contemporary folk stylings of Utah’s Branson Anderson, followed by the award-winning bluegrass sounds of The Fretliners out of Colorado. Sheridan favorites The Two Tracks will then take the stage, with their signature blend of folk rock and Americana. The evening will culminate with a headlining performance by acclaimed east coast roots rockers, Yarn.
In addition to the music, there will be local artisan crafts, food, and beverages. Attendees can browse a variety of arts and crafts vendors, savor offerings from local food trucks, and enjoy craft beers from local breweries. Sheridan College president Walt Tribley said they are excited to host this free community event, bringing together music lovers, local vendors, and families to celebrate the start of Sheridan WYO Rodeo week.
