The Johnson County School Board, during their recent meeting, voted to set the mills for the Johnson County Recreation Board and the Board of Cooperative Higher Education Services (BOCHES).
The board voted to set them at 1 mill for the Rec Board and 0.5 mill for BOCHES.
According to the liaison to the Rec Board Marcia Goddard, the deadline to submit applications to the Rec Board for funding was Friday, April 18.
She said Rec Board President Jack Tarter had given an updated estimate on what a mill will be worth this year.
Goddard also reported that there had been a resignation on the Rec Board and they will be pursuing a replacement.
