The Johnson County Commission has ratified a Letter of Support for the US House of Representatives’ Natural Resource Committee’s reconciliation package.
Commission Chair Bill Novotny drafted a letter and brought it before the commission during their last meeting, explaining that a request for the letter of support came from US Representative Harriet Hageman.
The reconciliation plan would address the original plan’s conclusion to not continue coal leasing and mineral extraction, which would be detrimental to Johnson and other counties in Wyoming.
