Johnson County, Clear Creek Irrigation Reach Leiter Ditch Agreement

Johnson County and the Clear Creek Irrigation District have reached an agreement concerning the Leiter Ditch, which is another step toward completion of the North Lake DeSmet Access Point, according to Commissioner Bill Novotny and County Attorney Tucker Ruby.

They gave more details on the issue.

The commission reviewed tentative plans that showed the removal of the ditch, placement of an irrigation pipe, and placement of the boat ramp.

The Wyoming Game and Fish has selected a team to design the comfort stations and other amenities that are planned for the north access.

The commission voted to accept and approve the agreement and allow the chairman to sign the Memorandum of Understanding.
