C.D. Shauver of Sheridan received notification today that he has been appointed assistant state engineer.
He is requested to report for duty in Cheyenne no later than March 24. Mr. Shauver is especially well qualified for the position, having served as engineer in the United States reclamation service for three years.
A carload of Jonathan apples has arrived at H. Henschke’s grocery. The apples are $1.50 a box, but nearly one-half of the car has been sold in advance. Patrons are advised to phone their orders early to get some of these delicious apples.
A Sheridan County man has added his name to the list of applicants for the hand of a widow in Montana. The lady advertised a few days ago for a husband. The latest aspirant is a prosperous rancher on Jim Creek.
