Rezone Ordinance Clears Final Hurdle

An ordinance to rezone nine different properties in north Sheridan from B-1 Business District to B-2 Business District was approved on third and final reading at Monday night’s regular business meeting of the Sheridan City Council. City Planner Kelly Schroeder said the properties are located on Canfield Street, Kooi Street and North Main Street.

Schroeder said that all of the properties that were part of the rezone request were annexed into the City in 1973 and that they have been zoned B-1 since that time. Schroeder added that the applicants requested the rezone to expand the allowable uses on their properties and to better match the current and historical use of the area.
