An amendment to the agreement for EMS Services in Sheridan was an item of consideration at Monday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
In November of 2022, the City of Sheridan and Sheridan County entered into a joint agreement with Wyoming Regional EMS, LLC for emergency medical services. City Attorney Brad Thimmesch said that all of the parties involved met earlier this year to discuss Wyoming Regional EMS’s services and the need for two new ambulances within the next two years. As a result of the meeting, Thimmesch said that “Amendment B” to the EMS agreement was crafted as a solution to Wyoming Regional’s need for the ambulances. Thimmesch provided the details of the amended agreement prior to the City Council’s approval of the amendment.
Other business from the meeting included the Council’s approval of an ordinance on first reading that amends city code related to capital equipment and general fund reserves. The Council also approved the renewal of the operating agreement with Sheridan County Travel and Tourism. We’ll have more from the Council meeting in future stories.
