For the second month in a row, Wyoming’s unemployment rate did not change, and for the second month in a row, the rate for the North-Central part of the state increased.
The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services says the statewide seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June 2025 held steady at 3.3%, which is where the rate has been since April.
The rate was at 3.2% in June of last year.
The US Seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for June was at 4.1%, which is down from 4.2% in May, and is unchanged from one year ago.
Sheridan County’s unemployment rate increased from 3.2% in May to 3.6% in June, while Johnson County increased from 2.6% to 3.0%.
Sheridan County was at 2.8% in May 2024, while Johnson County was at 2.7%.
The Department says over the course of the past 12 months, rates in every county have increased, which suggests that the supply of labor has increased compared to one year ago.
The lowest unemployment rate in Wyoming for June 2025 was in Teton County at 2.3%, while the highest rate was in Big Horn County at 4.7%.
Non-farm employment in the Cowboy State increased by 4,300 jobs from June of last year to June of this year.
