News – Sheridan Media

Chip King, operations director at the Museum at the Bighorns, recently appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to discuss the next phase of development at the museum.
With Phase 1 now complete, the museum is open to the public — but with limited displays and exhibits. Work has begun on Phase 2, which will expand exhibit and collection space at the museum’s new downtown location.
King said fundraising efforts for Phase 2 are underway with the help of a matching grant from the Roberts Family Foundation. The foundation will match any amount donated.

Donations can be made online or in person. King, who has helped lead the cataloging, archiving, packing and relocation of the museum’s 30,000-piece collection, said he’s grateful for the community’s support in preserving Sheridan County’s history.
