Since July 26, The Brinton Museum’s Bighorn Rendezvous X exhibition has brought together 15 nationally recognized, award-winning artists — several of whom are exhibiting at The Brinton for the first time.
According to Executive Director Kendra Heimbuck, more than 40 works of art are on display in the Jacomien Mars Reception Gallery. The exhibition features both two- and three-dimensional pieces, with mediums ranging from oil and pastel to bronze.
Marking its 10th anniversary this year, the Bighorn Rendezvous will culminate on Saturday, Aug. 23, with a Quickdraw and Art Auction on the museum grounds. Heimbuck said watching the varied processes of artists is one of her favorite parts of the annual event.

The Quickdraw begins at 9 a.m., with artists creating new works on site until noon. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the artists, explore the historic Quarter Circle A Ranch, and see the creative process unfold in real time.
Immediately following the Quickdraw, The Brinton Bistro will serve brunch as the Art Auction gets underway. General admission tickets for Saturday’s events are $50. A limited number of $80 VIP tickets are also available, offering guests an exclusive meet-and-greet with the artists during a cocktail reception on Friday, Aug. 22, from 5–7 p.m. The reception includes complimentary hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine, and VIP tickets also include access to all Saturday activities.
