During an update at the recent Sheridan City Council business meeting, the development director for Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns provided information on their Housing Land Trust Initiative. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Habitat for Humanity of the Eastern Bighorns mission is to address the critical need for housing by providing home ownership opportunities for Sheridan families in need. Habitat serves families whose income is 30 to 80 percent of the current median income, as defined by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development for Wyoming. Habitat Development Director Meredith Sopko said one of the four programs they serve the community with is the Housing Land Trust Initiative.
