News – Sheridan Media

Operations Director Chip King of the Museum at the Bighorns made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to talk about the fundraiser to help pay for phase 2 construction.

The Museum at the Bighorns has launched a fundraising campaign to complete Phase 2 of its expansion, which will add new exhibit and collection space.

The museum has set a $2 million fundraising goal. A $50,000 matching challenge from the Roberts Family Foundation is already in place, and only $20,000 remains to be raised in order to meet that match. King said every contribution, no matter the amount, brings the project closer to reality.

Donations may be made online by clicking here, by mail at 171 N. Main St., Suite 107, Sheridan, WY 82801, or stop by the museum’s Main Street location.

For those who may not have the ability to donate monetarily, King said just stopping in and looking around places another number on a visitor count that can be levied to foundations and organizations.

Completion of Phase 2 will provide the museum with additional space to preserve artifacts and expand exhibits, offering more opportunities for the public to engage and learn about Sheridan County’s history.
