A draft easement agreement for the North End Access at Lake DeSmet, which is currently in the planning stages, was recently considered by the Johnson County Commission.
Deputy County Attorney Barry Crago discussed the agreement with the commission, saying he and Lake DeSmet Operations Manager Paul Mavrakis had discussed the draft easement agreement and suggested some changes that he explained.
Crago said the original draft had shown the easement as five acres, and he changed it to show the actual lesser acreage of the parking area and boat ramp access point as shown in the survey of the property.
The commission voted to accept the draft agreement, which will now go to the State Attorney General’s office for review and approval.
