Buffalo Vice-mayor Myra Camino asked for information the Buffalo Police Department may have on the recent vehicle thefts that happened in the north Buffalo area a couple of weeks ago.

Captain Garth Nicholas said it is an ongoing investigation involving other law enforcement agencies.

According to the BPD Facebook page, they are requesting community assistance in the vehicle break-in investigation for the incidents that happened in the areas of Woodman Drive, N. Desmet Ave., and N. Adams Ave. between 8 p.m. on August 14 and 8 a.m. on August 15.

They are asking residents in the area to check their vehicles and any outbuildings or structures that may have been left unlocked, and to report any suspicious activity or signs of tampering.

Those with home security cameras are encouraged to review footage from that time and share anything that may assist in the investigation.

Those that have information or footage to share can contact the BPD non-emergency line at (307) 684-5581.
