The Sheridan Community Land Trust (SCLT) invites the public to explore the rich history of Sheridan County through the lens of its waterways during SCLT Explore History: Artifacts of the Big Goose Creek Walking Tour, a special presentation led by Museum at the Bighorns Director, Carrie Ida Edinger.
There will be two programs: the first will be held on Tuesday, September 9, from 10 to 11:30 a.m., at The Hub on Smith in Sheridan, and the second will be held on Tuesday, September 16, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon, at the TRVCC in Dayton.

The program will feature a visual exploration of artifacts, photographs, and objects connected to historic sites along the Big Goose Creek Walking Tour. Highlights include the Sheridan Brewery, Sheridan Manufacturing Company Flour Mill, the Mandel Cabin, and more. Attendees will learn how Big Goose Creek has shaped the area’s industry, culture, and community, while viewing rarely seen items from the museum’s collection.
The Explore History programs are free and open to all. For more information, visit SheridanCLT.org/Events.
