Former President of the Big Horn Lions Club Ed Hawkinson and Scholarship Chairman and Tournament MC Dick Suttin appeared on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to talk about the upcoming fundraiser golf tournament, named after a beloved Lions member.
For the past three years, the Big Horn Lions Club has raised funds through an annual golf tournament, which has quickly become a community favorite.
The Lions have named the event the Bill Rohrbaugh Memorial Golf Tournament in honor of a member who, according to Hawkinson and Suttin, was both an inspiration and a dear friend.

The tournament begins at 10 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 7, at the Powder Horn, with registration starting at 8:30 a.m. It will feature a scramble format with prize holes, raffles, a silent auction, and a hole-in-one prize of an ATV from Peak Power Sports. Payouts will go to the top three teams, along with last place or “Most Honest.” Hawkinson said the business community has stepped up, with more than 80 sponsors and many local companies donating prizes to make the event memorable.

The club is aiming to fill 30 team slots, and registration is filling quickly. To register, visit the Powder Horn clubhouse or contact Ed Hawkinson at 307-674-6819. The entry deadline is Sept. 4.
Entry is $80 for Powder Horn members and $180 for non-members, which includes 18 holes, a cart, and lunch. All proceeds fund local scholarships, vision care, and community projects.
