An ordinance to rezone 31.8 acres of unplatted property located on the 900 block of East 5th Street in Sheridan from R-1 Residence District to B-1 Business District was approved by the Sheridan City Council on first reading Monday night. City Planner Kelly Schroeder says the applicant is requesting the rezone to allow for multi-family residential use and potential future commercial use on the property.
The ordinance to rezone the 31.8 acres of property on East 5th Street from R-1 to B-1 must be approved by the City Council two more times before the rezone takes effect. The Council also gave second reading approval of an ordinance to deannex 3.64 acres of property and an ordinance to annex 4.15 acres of property near Kendrick Municipal Golf Course. We’ll have more from the City Council meeting in future stories.
