The University of Wyoming College of Education will once again host the Wyoming Classroom Connections Tour, giving education students the chance to visit public schools across the state and build connections in Wyoming’s education system.
This semester’s tour is scheduled for the mornings of Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 17–18. It is sponsored by the Wyoming School-University Partnership, the UW College of Education, and Carbon County School Districts 1 and 2. Faculty and staff members from UW and the partnership will accompany the group.
The trip will include tours of school facilities, visits to unique and innovative spaces, classroom observation sessions, and discussions with school leaders about district priorities, teacher support programs, and future job opportunities.
Students will also meet with experienced educators to talk about effective teaching practices, challenges in the field, and the qualities that make each Wyoming school and community unique.
“This tour is insightful for all of those who are involved. Getting faculty, staff and students from the College of Education into classrooms and communities around Wyoming helps to cultivate deeper connections to this great state and everything our public education landscape has to offer,” Project Coordinator Nicholas Jesse said.
