Sheridan Commission Denies MDU License Agreements

Two County License Agreements that were opposed by local residents have been denied by the Sheridan County Commission.

The license agreements would have allowed the installation of overhead power lines on County Road 111 a.k.a. Box Cross Road.

A number of residents at the commission’s last meeting spoke against allowing the installations, before the commission discussed the issue.

Commissioner Michael Arzy agreed, explaining why he would be voting against.

Arzy added that a decision on whether or not the power lines should be overhead or underground or finding alternate routes for the power lines is not within the powers of the commission to decide.

The county commission voted to deny both License Agreement applications.
