A Sheridan man was arraigned on multiple drug possession charges Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
On August 12, 2025, the Sheridan Police Department received an anonymous tip that drugs were being stored inside a freezer at an apartment at 580 East 5th Street. The tip led to the arrest of 44-year-old Zachariah Moon for allegedly being in possession of LSD and Psilocybin. Moon, at an arraignment hearing Tuesday in District Court in Sheridan, pleaded guilty to one count of felony possession of a controlled substance for possessing more than 3/10 of a gram of LSD, and one count of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance – Psilocybin.
District Court Judge Darci Phillips scheduled a two-day jury trial to begin on January 26, 2026, and set a pretrial conference for January 6 at 10:30 am. Moon’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court. If convicted on both counts, Moon faces up to six years in prison and fines of up to $11,000.
