In October, the A-C School Lunch with the Community will be held on Oct. 1, 11:30 to noon. House Herculean will be hosting the lunch and giving a brief program about their house.
The school will also be celebrating Wyoming Farm to School day in conjunction with the lunch. The Wyoming Farm to School Day this year is October 8. It is a day set aside to celebrate Wyoming’s agriculture by serving locally grown foods in Wyoming schools.
Farm to School is a USDA program which helps schools incorporate local foods into the National School Lunch Program.
Clearmont School now has a greenhouse and a garden, where the students learn to grow, harvest and see how these foods are incorporated into their school meals.
Those wishing to attend must contact the school before noon on September 25, so enough food can be ordered. Call 307-758-4412 or come by the school. Price is $5, paid in advance. No late orders will be accepted.
